Global Futsal Leaders to Attend Asia Tri-Nation Tournament in Colombo
December 2025 – The Sri Lanka Micro Futsal Federation (SLMFF) is gearing up to host a landmark event this month: the Asia Tri-Nation Futsal Tournament. Scheduled for December 21, 2025, in Colombo, the tournament will witness a triangular battle for supremacy between Sri Lanka, India, and Bangladesh.
This year's event is particularly significant due to the attendance of high-ranking international officials. We are delighted to welcome Mr. Valeriy Akhumyan, President of FIFUSA and UEFS, and Mr. Artem Chesnokov, Vice-President of FIFUSA, who will be attending as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor, respectively.
Organized by Basilika Sports and Leisure in partnership with the SLMFF, this tournament promises to be a major step forward for Futsal in the region.
Our Latest Tour
We were delighted to host the S.S.T Cricket Academy from Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, for an unforgettable cricket tour in Bangalore. The visit was a resounding success, fostering sportsmanship and camaraderie between the two academies.
The tour, which ran from November 15th to 21st, 2025, featured a series of competitive matches for the U-13 and U-15 boys' age groups. All fixtures were played on high-standard turf wickets, providing an excellent platform for our young athletes to showcase their talent. The sporting event culminated in a formal awards ceremony at our Club House on November 20th, where players from both academies were honored in the presence of all participants and club members.
It was a true honor and pleasure to welcome S.S.T Cricket Academy to India. This collaborative event played a significant role in building a strong and long-lasting passion for the sport among the budding cricketers of our two cricket-loving nations.
